The purpose of this job is to develop and maintain relationships with customers, whose fleet sizes are greater than 60 vehicles, and support the activities of Pilot Flying J’s (PFJ) outside sales representatives.
- Provide support for customers whose fleet size is greater than 60 vehicles by developing customer relationships over the phone, with the goal of growing accounts and increasing PFJ revenue.
- Plan customer phone calls by defining the objective and preparing questions to move the customer toward the sales objective.
- Assist Sales team with account planning, developing the value proposition, managing accounts towards SMART goals and non-administrative customer preparation.
- Execute deals and provide analysis and reporting for outside sales representatives and sales leadership project initiatives
- Assist the Credit department in preparing for and resolving customer issues
- Develop a strong internal network and leverage cross-functional capabilities to effectively respond to customer needs
- Collaborate with Sales team to identify business opportunities
- Perform administrative functions for customers and outside sales team
- Model behaviors that support the company’s common purpose; ensure guests and team members are supported at the highest level
- Ensure all activities are in compliance with rules, regulations, policies, and procedures
- Complete other duties as assigned
- High school diploma or equivalent certificate required
- Bachelor’s degree or a minimum two years’ experience in sales support preferred
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
- Intermediate skills with a CRM (preferred Salesforce), PRS leads and other company software preferred
- Ability to gain knowledge of fuel and trucking industry
- Ability to gain knowledge of company products and offerings
- Ability to prioritize, multitask and manage multiple projects successfully in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Professional demeanor with communicating in person, email or phone
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to communicate and interact effectively with different levels of the organization to negotiate, problem solve, complete projects and influence decision making
